What's a Targeted Selection Process? As related to prospecting, it is a process or system of defining whom you want to call on and performing the due diligence of data procurement to understand who you are calling on and why you have chosen them.
It can be as simple as choosing an industry, picking a company name out of the yellow pages, understanding the appropriate level of contact to call on, and investigating a name that goes with the title.
Or it can be as complex as an expensive CRM (customer relationship management) system for existing customers, defining market share of your product portfolio and routinely touching the existing base to broaden the revenue pond.
But here's what's important to understand. Your Targeted Selection Process is a separate component of your sales strategy. It stands by itself.
But it is directly allied with your other Sales performance indicators. The degree of success you'll have in the business of sales is proportional to raising and maintaining these success indicators to a level more proficient than the industry norm.
And the direction you decide to travel is strategic to the outcome. I call it the 'Playing Field'. Because that's where it all starts… it's where the game begins.
Here's what I mean. There are basically (2) strategies in picking your 'Playing Field'; a 'Bottom-up' approach or a 'Top-down' approach.
The following is an example of a Bottom-up approach. A Telecommunications rep initiates a telephone call into a company and asks the question "Who handles your telecommunications needs?" Guess where they are sent? If you said 'office manager' you guessed right. If you said 'Head Janitor' you weren't far off.
Is there anything 'wrong' with that? Not really; it's legal and a lot of folks out there do it.
But let's think through this option as a 'Business person' would. Let's study it as it relates to our sales process and individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI); Conversation-to-appointment ratio, 1st appointment to Proposal ratio, Closing ratio, sales cycle and average revenue per sale. Because these success indicators are gateways that directly affect the outcome of a sales process.
Do your KPI's go up or down with a bottom-up approach? Historically, a bottom-up approach promotes a:
1. 1st appointment to Proposal ratio to decrease
2. Closing ratio to decrease
3. Sales cycle to increase
4. Average revenue per sale to decrease
Bottom line, you'll be leaving time and money on the table if you choose this Target strategy.
We'll revisit the Conversation-to-appointment KPI in a minute.
At the other end of the Target spectrum is the 'Top-down' strategy for securing a new Targeted business appointment. Let's say that same telecommunications rep chose this approach in prospecting for new business. The first step in this process is 'Homework'; some due diligence prior to picking up the telephone.
Activities like:
• Gathering a list of appropriate industries
• Assigning the highest appropriate level of contact to each account; by company size and industry
• Researching contact name for each appropriate title and account
• Researching what each business does to exist and prosper
That sounds like a bit of work. But what historically happens with a 'Top-down' approach in line with sales performance KPI's?
1. 1st appointment to Proposal ratio increases
2. Closing ratio increases
3. Sales cycle decreases
4. Average revenue per sale increases
OK. We agree that's a no-brainer. So it all comes down to the 1st and foremost sales performance indicator, your Conversation-to-appointment ratio.
That's simply how many times you conduct a conversation with a target prospect versus how many times you achieve one. And the national average on that KPI is between 4% and 18%; Top-down or Bottom up approach. So it takes 10, 12 or 20 conversations to achieve 1 or 2 appointments. And that's a lot of work. In fact, JDH Group studies show sales individuals spend an average of 50% of their time on prospecting activities, or about 22 hours per week.
That leads a sensible person to the conclusion that one needs to focus on efficiencies in Prospecting. And to secure those 'Competencies' one must develop a communication 'system' in line with your business solutions, your 'Top-down' Prospect perceptions and your competitive influences.
Not from a product/service angle, that's 'selling' over the telephone. But a communications methodology that lends itself to 'Business acumen'; insight into what is strategic to your target prospect's business objectives, what pains they are facing due to recent events or what changes are on the horizon that may effect their current status quo.
Next is figuring out how to communicate to your 'Top-down' target the prospective benefits of your product/service in terms relevant to their financial Key Performance Indicators; line items like ROI, IRR and Payback Period. Those are success indicators that organizations rely on to measure progress toward their organizational goals. It's their 'Scorecard'.
So lesson number one. When you're addressing a target level that has Budget authority; a President/Owner of a small company or a CFO/Controller of a medium size one, you'd better be talking terms in line with what they need to accomplish, not in a 'sales language' creating a prospect perception that you're (1) don't understand their business and (2) are simply trying to make a living.
From a 10,000 foot altitude, understand and communicate what's on your 'Top-down' target prospect's 'Front Burner' business objectives…not clear over in the freezer!
You can choose not to accept the standard 'sales 101 playing field'.
Identify your individual performance components (KPI's) that are essential to your success and develop or seek systems to raise your competency ratios and performance efficiencies.
And start your process by picking a 'Top-down Playing Field' and educating yourself to their world.

Instant Luxuries Relieve Daily Stress
Discovering how to de-stress may be easier-and more important-than many people realize. A recent survey reveals that 34 percent of Americans report their daily stress levels are at an all-time high. Of those surveyed, more than 90 percent indicated a growing need for adding some stress-busting "instant luxury" to their lives, with decadent desserts and fine coffee topping their "favorites" list, followed by fresh-cut flowers and high-thread-count sheets.
According to Alison Deyette, lifestyle expert and host of the Fine Living Network series "Pocket the Difference," there are some simple things anyone can do every day to bring in life's little luxuries and reduce stress.
"These days, luxury is a mindset, not a lifestyle; to manage the daily stresses of life, consumers are finding ways to treat themselves with products and experiences that convey attainable luxury," said Deyette. "Products such as Nescafé Taster's Choice 100 percent Colombian coffee provide opportunities to enjoy simple indulgences, such as fine coffee, each day."
For coffee lovers in search of instant luxury, Nestlé recently introduced a new variety that allows anyone to experience the world-renowned taste of Colombian coffee, brewed fresh in the cup anytime. This new offering provides java enthusiasts an opportunity to indulge in delicious premium coffee at work or home, that until recently was only reserved for gourmet coffee shops.
Other instant luxuries Deyette suggests as ways people can treat themselves on a regular basis include fresh-cut flowers, possibly from a farmers' market or just a grocery store. She adds, "These types of indulgences can stimulate the senses and make those 'feel-good' chemicals in the brain spring into action."
Since every day should begin with a good night's sleep, great bedding is essential. High-thread-count sheets that are affordable can now be found at virtually any bedding store or major retailer and can add a "little luxury" to your life.
Defining "instant luxury" as a product or experience that's attainable by the average person, the survey by TNS Express asked 1,000 Americans ages 18 to 90 what they are doing to enrich their lives and cope in an increasingly stressed-out world.

As Time goes Buy
Looking for the perfect gift for an occasion? Need something outstanding for an anniversary or for a wedding, a retirement gift, or for a special birthday? A clock will make a lasting impression and is the perfect choice for just about any situation.
Everyone knows that we are a time driven society. We always have to be somewhere. We are in a rush to make a train, plane or bus or we have to meet or pick someone up at a certain time. The wristwatch just doesn't cut it anymore - you need a clock in every room. And what a great gift a clock makes. They are available in just about any price range. They come in wood, brass, glass, crystal, marble, silver or goldtone. They can be personalized or engraved to make a lasting impression. They can be hung on a wall or placed on a table or shelf. They go in your office, library, kitchen, den or dining room. They can even be found in a bathroom. Clocks can be purchased in every type of decor or color to match or contrast with the area they will be placed. They are available in electric or battery operated models. There are also travel versions. Many have an alarm, some play music or chimes.
There are wall clocks and mantel clocks that play a different sound or tune on the hour. Westminster chimes is a popular sound for the mantel clocks. How can anyone forget the wall clock that had a different bird sound every hour. Many of these clocks have an automatic shut off that keeps them from making noise when the room is dark and everyone is presumably asleep. There are also Lucite desk clocks that change color with every minute. The time changes from red to purple to green to blue and you have to love it. And who could forget those coo-coo clocks that were popular years ago?
Some people prefer analog while others may prefer the digital version. Many of the digital versions will also give the day and/or date. They can also give the room temperature, the phases of the moon, or an estimate of the expected weather. Analog clocks can have roman numerals, or regular numbers. The very popular Movado clocks have just a dot for the twelve. Some clocks will also have room for a photo. Many other clocks are combined with a pen or note paper to make them a desk accessory.
There are also clocks that give the time around the world. These are especially useful to anyone that conducts business in different countries, or anyone that has family traveling or living abroad. It's easier to know the time when you can see it in front of you, instead of having to count all those hours ahead or behind. World clocks are available in analog or digital versions. These clocks make especially nice corporate gifts and are often shown with a company logo or other personalization.
Movado, Bulova, Seiko, and Seth Thomas are some of the better-known brand names. Howard Miller also makes those furniture clocks that are popular once again. These names represent fine quality clocks that anyone would be proud to give or receive. The next time there's an occasion and you can't figure out what to purchase, remembers that it's always the right time to give a clock as a gift.

How To Create, Promote And Earn Money From Your Own Blog
For starters, what is a blog? In general terms, it is a sort of interactive, regularly updated online journal. A blog owner is called a blogger, the activity of keeping a blog is called blogging, and the blogging community and everything related to blogging is collectively known as the blogosphere.
How are blogs created? There are several options. The cost-free way is to start a blog at one of the countless free blog services, such as the Google service called blogger. Another option is to use one of the free blog scripts and install it at a paid or free hosting service. Such free blog scripts are also numerous, the most popular of them being wordpress. It is also possible to sign up for a paid hosting service with an already installed wordpress blog, but this service is somewhat costlier.
Now let's assume that we already have a blog. The next question is: Where do we get content? Choose the subject for your blog. It may be your professional occupation or hobby. In any case, you must have solid knowledge of the subject. For instance, if you are a proctologist, you may write about hemorrhoids, their treatment, prevention and suchlike as long as these are not scientific articles, but materials written in layman's language. To give you a more practical example, if your hobby is dogs, write about them and people will enjoy it. There is another way to get content. The web has many services offering free articles. All you have to do is select the most interesting ones and publish them. In this way you can quickly fill your blog with content.
Moving on to the question of promoting your blog, it is worth noting that blogs are better indexed by search engines than ordinary web sites due to the specifics of the algorithm used in blogs. For instance, a new article in a well-promoted blog may appear on the search engine results page already on the following day. Of course, this requires registration in special catalogs devoted to blogs, which is what you will do next. Another way is to publish articles with a link to your blog. There are also services meant for just this purpose.
But most importantly, a search engine needs external links to your blog from other web sites. These should be good links generating heavy traffic. What does it mean? It means that ideally the link should be on the web site's main page. What's more, this page should have a PR rating of at least 4 (PR or Google Page Rank reflects the significance of any particular web page). Five or six such links will do more than hundreds of other ordinary links. How can you get such links? There are also various options. For instance, you can find a resource thematically related to your blog and offer its owners to reciprocate links. Finally, you can buy such links. The higher the web site's PR rating, the more such links will cost you.
Now let's move on to the question of how you can earn money from your own blog. The scheme is quite simple: traffic is converted into money. Your income increases proportionately with the traffic volume. One way to earn from a blog is to place ads, which is done most often through google adwords. Another way is to participate in partnership programs associated with the subject of your blog. So if your blog is devoted to dogs, you should advertise flea control products and other dog-related merchandise. A third way is to sell your own merchandise or services. Of course, you can combine several ways of generating income in a single blog. Last but not least, remember that strength is in numbers, which is why it's a good idea to maintain several resources at the same time.

The Most Overlooked Safety Event - Driving
Driving a vehicle is probably the most overlooked safety event in one's life. Personal vehicles are driven to have employees arrive at work, to take kids to soccer practice, and even to deliver goods to customers. Basic precautions take a few moments to check. Millions of people are killed each year. People ages 15-44 account for over half of all deaths due to road traffic injuries. Road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death by injury worldwide. In North America alone, the equivalent of the passengers on ten 747 jets die in traffic incidents each day.
The basics of vehicle operation are to know how to operate the vehicle and use any related equipment or attachments safely. Be familiar with the location and function of all the controls. A good place to start is the owner's manual. Many of the functions of the vehicle are not covered at the point of purchase.
Inspect the vehicle daily. Develop a routine method of inspecting vehicle by doing a quick walk around. Start at the front and do a complete walk around; check the tires, windshield wipers, lights, and for any objects that might be laying in the vehicle's path.
Once inside, adjust seat and controls. Fasten seat belt. Pump the foot brake; the brakes should hold the vehicle and while stopping they should stop the vehicle smoothly. If there is a clutch and gearshift, the shifter shifts smoothly without jumping or jerking. The steering wheel moves smoothly with no play. Make sure all dash controls are functioning properly.
For fleet and commercial vehicles, check the hydraulic systems for operation. If installed check the back-up alarm; if not installed, equip the vehicle with one. Check for the emergency equipment and make sure all required equipment is on board. Check the load and make sure it is secure and complying with regulations. Check the wheels and fasteners and make sure there are no defects in rim or loose or even missing fasteners.
While driving listen for strange noises and even smell for unusual odors that may be coming from the vehicle. Wear the seat belt; more people have been injured by not wearing the belt than those who do.
Now that the vehicle has checked and is safe, simple procedures can be learned and practiced to ensure safe driving. Wear the seat belt every time and insist all passengers wear theirs as well. The airbag is a safety device that can inflict injury if precautions are not used; be sure there is at least 10 inches between the air bag and the middle of the chest; never place a rear-facing infant seat in front of an air bag.
Children 12 and under are safest buckled up in the back seat. Use the appropriate child and infant restraints. For child seats, follow the manufacturers' guidelines on installation; over half the checked seats checked by police are being used incorrectly.
Assuming everyone drives like an idiot will improve defensive driving skills. Keep all vehicle windows and mirrors clear so you can see potential hazards. Adjust your speed to the legal limit, the road conditions and your own driving abilities at the time. Slow down if you're tired, distracted, emotional or ill. Drowsy driving, just as drunk driving, can cause a crash within seconds. Get enough sleep before you take the wheel. Also know what medications may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
Expect the unexpected. Know what is around the vehicle at all times by checking all mirrors every five to eight seconds. Always keep the eyes moving and use every vantage point to gain information about the road ahead such as a hill top. By observing all areas around the vehicle, an escape movement can be used to avoid an incident.
By checking the vehicle each time before it is started and driving defensively, less traffic incidents will occur. The result will be better insurance rates and less injury in one's life.

Shooting Yourself In The Foot
Have you ever been at a networking function talking to someone when during the conversation you felt very self-conscious trying to say the right thing? Were you afraid that maybe if you said the wrong thing the person might not find you likeable, and therefore not want to do business with you? If you have, I am about to tell you why you should not worry about it. Like the obnoxious song "Don't Worry - Be Happy" from years ago, I want to share with you the reason why being careful about what we say works against us in the networking environment.
Our goal in business networking should be to establish new relationships and through the process of follow-up develop them over time. As with any relationship, being honest plays a very important role in that development.
When we meet someone for the first time, we want to make a good impression. Often we put on our "party face" so that we do. This can often cause us problems that we do not expect. One problem is that when we try to appear to be something that we really do not feel inside of us, we often have a fear that we are going to be "discovered". This fear causes us to feel uncomfortable about the situation and though we may be smiling, we are really cringing inside.
Most people worry that if they just be who they are, that no one can accept them. I argue that if we do not just be ourselves, sooner or later who we really are will slip out and then we will have to deal with the consequences of being discovered. This then leads to a feeling of distrust between people.
Have you ever been in a relationship with a person of the opposite sex where you did not tell them something important early on and later had to reveal it or even worse it was revealed by accident? It leads for difficult times after that and a lot of shuffling and apologizing
In my opinion, it is better to risk being who I am up front. To let people know exactly how I feel. People, for the most part, have a forgiving nature. They actually want to forgive. If you make a mistake and say something that can be potentially embarrassing, you can always apologize for it and be forgiven. But if you say something that is not necessarily true and are discovered later, your credibility may be permanently damaged.
If you go into a networking environment prepared to be relaxed and genuine, you will find that it is a lot more fun to be there. If you have a plan of action to really get to know people, you will be much more productive in a shorter amount of time. People will feel comfortable talking to you and you to them. In an environment of truth, more people will want to do business with you and to be around you.
Authentic enthusiasm is contagious. You will always appear to be more attractive when you are excited about what you are doing. When you are not worried about making mistakes, you will appear to be happier. Being happy about the situation will help you to smile more, and the smiling face is a natural human attractor.
So next time you attend a networking function, just be yourself. Your results will improve and you will feel better when you leave to go home. Over time, the difference will be measurable in more ways than just your income. You will find that you have more friends than you had ever imagined possible. When it comes time for the referral, your friend will remember you because friends really do refer friends.

:: Peria ::
Pahit-pahit buah peria tetapi banyak khasiatnya.
a. Ambil 4 ke 5 biji buah peria, dibuat jus. Minum setiap pagi ketika perut masih kosong.
c. Amalkan meminum air rebusan buah peria atau air serbuk peria.
2. Merawat Buasir
Amalkan minum semasa perut masih kosong setiap hari selama 4 hingga 6 bulan.
Misteri Teknologi Zaman Nabi Nuh Yang Disorok
.................................................. .................

Gambaran kerja pembinaan piramid [filem 10 000 BC]
Bagaimana kemajuan manusia selepas 2000 tahun selepas kelahiran Nabi Isa?

Reaching the Unreached Masses
Advertising is one the most important part of an overall promotional strategy. With the continuing increase in competition in the market today, advertising has become inevitable. But have you ever asked yourself how many of us are unreached by advertising? When you walk the street, to the right and left stretched streets showing hotels, apartment houses, private houses, restaurants and saloons, out of which live people who have or have not come in contact with any form of advertising. On the next block wandered another crowd all apparently without thought of advertising. Nearly all are familiar with newspapers and magazines, but to what degree?
Some take up the newspaper to read the political news and views and nothing more. Some read newspapers to glance at the sports page and nothing more. Some take up the newspaper to read the gossip section and nothing more. And some never even bother to read a newspaper. And some are even so distracted by personal matters that the advertisement they saw in the newspaper does not make any impression on their minds. For this reason, it is important that as a business owner you know how to reach up to your target customers through your advertising materials.
The most important features of an advertisement are ideas, words and arrangement. Ideas come first; they should be correctly expressed and the whole should be properly arranged with type and illustration. So for instance you are going to make a poster. Keep in mind that a good poster conveys a clear message through good visual information and a minimum of text. It should be legible, readable and well organized. Studies show that you only have a few seconds to grab the attention of your reader and most of these readers are going to absorb only the punch line. <

Creating Fear for Inspiration
If you have read or have been involved in personal development, whether it is goal-setting, time management, motivation, weight loss, or the many other categories and have not taken hold of what you desired, chances are that you're lacking an inner drive towards that elusive goal.
You have brought books, CDs, tapes, searched the internet, and maybe even attended seminars, but yet you find that you fall short of your desire or you don't even come one step closer to what you set out to achieve. You may ask yourself "Why do I keep failing? Am I supposed to just remain who I am today?"
Do not lose hope and sight of your goal. If you have obtained personal development resources before, you have a desire to improve. You have a desire to be intimate in your relationships. You have a desire to look your best. You have a desire to free yourself from debt.
Here is a fantastic analogy to help you see the problem. By not defining the problem correctly you can not provide a correct solution, leaving you to wonder your whole life about "what could have been". Think of the books you read, the cds you listen to, the seminars you attend, as a spark. This spark has an extremely powerful potential. It has the potential to ignite and create fire. Can you see the relation between the spark and the resources you read and listen to? These personal development guides create an internal spark in you. They pump you up guiding you towards your goal's correct path.
However, it doesn't take long until you find yourself not moving forward on the path toward your goal, or that you have totally moved off the path. You may have even lost ground by feeling so beaten up after failing you enter into a state of depression and fear. What you need is to turn the spark gained from the personal development resources into a roaring fire. A fire so dominant and independent that it will continue to burn and not require outside help in keeping it that way. To see what can fuel that spark into a fire, ask yourself, "this internal desire I have to improve, where is it coming from?" Are you sick of arguing with your partner or friends and you want to have more intimate relationships? Is it that you're tired of worrying about being able to put food on the table, provide clothing, and shelter? Are you embarrassed by how those additional pounds make you look?

Your Tool For Unlimited Sales
Do you sell to the government or to large companies? Do you regularly get purchase orders that stretch your company's ability to deliver? Lastly, if you had financing to cover all your supplier costs, could you sell more? Much more?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then purchase order financing could help your business grow.
Purchase order financing is a way of financing sales that has been gaining popularity with US and Canadian businesses. It offers a very simple proposition. If you have an order from a large credit worthy business (or government agency), then the financing company will provide you with the necessary funding to fulfill your supplier payments and make the sale. Call it sales based financing. It works well for resellers, distributors and wholesalers, although it can also be used in other industries.
Here is how purchase order financing works. Let's say that you own a company that has been getting progressively larger orders, tightening your cash flow. After setting up a purchase order financing agreement, this is how your sales financing would work:
1. You get an order from a client
2. The purchase order finance company handles up to 100% of your supplier payments (by direct payment or letter of credit)
3. The order is fulfilled and the goods are delivered
4. The transaction is settled, once the client pays their invoices
As you can see, purchase order financing allows you to leverage the resources of the financing company and allows you to increase your sales. With PO financing, lack of cash flow will never be a reason to lose a sale.
As opposed to a business loan from a bank, purchase order financing is very easy to obtain and can be set up in days. The main requirement is to have valid orders from good commercial or government clients. Most banks won't offer this type of financing, but you can get it from a factoring company. As a matter of fact, purchase order financing and invoice factoring are frequently combined to help reduce the costs of the transaction.
So, if your purchase orders are piling up, be sure to consider financing with purchase order funding.
Creativity - How To Have More
To have more creativity, follow this two-step plan:
1. Encourage creativity.
2. Train your brain to be more creative.
Start on both of these right now, and you can experience greater creativity today.
Encourage your creativity and you'll increase your creativity. Of course, this is true of most things you want to see more of in your life. Encouragement can work wonders, but how do you encourage creativity?
Start by paying attention to it. Our subconscious minds tends to give us more of what we pay attention to. Ignore the creative aspects of your life, and you are telling your subconscious that they are unimportant. Consciously note when you're creative, and your subconscious mind will start feeding you more creative ideas. Just look for it and you'll find more of it.
You can encourage creativity by writing your ideas down. Start keeping an "idea journal." Do this regularly, and you'll notice that you often start having more ideas the moment you start to write. A so-so idea may normally be forgotten, but by writing it down, you may remember it. Then your subconscious can work on it, and may transform into something very creative.
For more creativity in your life, start putting creative ideas into practice. If you paint, paint something totally different from your usual subjects. If you sell houses, try a new approach. Even just driving a different route to work to see if it is quicker can encourage your creativity. Just get your mind working outside of its regular patterns.
Changing your surroundings can encourage creativity. For more creativity in your love life, go hike up a mountain with your partner. If you write, try sitting on a roof to write. For new ideas for your business, take a notebook to the park and sit by the duck pond. Any change of enviroment can get your brain out of it's ruts.
Creativity Training
To dramatically increase your creativity, develop creative habits of mind. If you watch a good comedian, you'll see that she has trained her mind to look for the "different angle" on everyday things. Why not train your mind to do the same?
Start challenging assumptions, for example, until it becomes habit. If you're looking for ways to get more customers, stop and say, "Do I really need more customers?" It's a question that suggests other creative solutions, like finding ways to make more money off existing customers, or ways to cut expenses. It could lead to more profitable ideas. Challenge assumptions is a great way to have more creativity in your problem solving.
While driving to work, randomly choose anything you see and ask what it can teach you about whatever problem you are working on. A helicopter might make you think about a way to track where the car goes when you loan it to your kids. Palm trees may lead to a new design for patio umbrellas.
These two techniques are called "Assumption Challenging" and "Random Presentation," and are classic creative problem solving techniques. There are dozens more. If you train your brain to habitually use these or other techniques, and provide it with a little encouragement, you really can have more creativity.

Beware - Borders and Boundaries
Have you ever had someone get right up in your face when they are talking to you? So close in fact that a letter "S' results in an unwanted shower? Often when we are out networking, we find ourselves in a loud environment as people try to talk louder to be heard over people trying to talk louder to be heard. This results in a roar that makes regular conversation difficult.
The temptation in this atmosphere is to get very close to another person so they can hear you and you them. This can result in being too close to another person sometimes making them very uncomfortable. This discomfort is heightened when we have been consuming alcohol and the person we are talking to have not.
Each of us has our own comfort zone boundary. This is a space around us that when another person enters we begin to feel uncomfortable. A good way to relate to this is to remember if you have ever had an argument where someone got right up in your face and possibly even pointed their finger very near to it. Remember how that made you feel? In most cases it makes a person feel more angry.
In a networking environment it is important to maintain a distance from a person that you are talking to. This distance should be almost an arms length. Most peoples comfort boundary is about the length of their arm. If you find yourself getting very close to someone in conversation, imagine if you raised your arm and that is the distance that you should be from the other person. If they move closer to you in the course of conversation, it is acceptable to them to be closer. If it is acceptable to you then continue with the conversation at that distance
You can sometimes tell if you are standing too close to someone if they seem to be moving back while you are talking to them. If they appear to be getting further away from you, do not move to be closer to them. They will stop when they reach the distance that they are comfortable with. If they turn and walk away of course it is time to find someone else to talk to.
To be most effective in your attempts to build relationships with others, it is most important to keep these things in mind. Remember that it makes no difference what you say to a person if they are not engaged in the conversation. Good observance of boundaries can give you the edge you need to make networking work.

How Much Money Does Your Business Need?
As much as I can get! This would be the answer readily shouted out by most entrepreneurs. The fact is though, both over and underestimating the amount of capital needed to fund a business can have serious negative consequences.
Underestimating what you need can cause problems ranging from having to go through the whole time consuming fund raising process again, to having to shut down the company because funds have run dry. Having to go back to the original investors and ask for more money often undermines the entrepreneur's credibility with the investors and can cause a significant dilution in the founder's ownership.
Obtaining more than enough capital may seem like a blessing at first, but it can breed a lax attitude toward expense control. "If you have it, spend it," is not an advisable motto for a new company. If the investment takes the form of equity, raising too much money means that the founder's share of the business was reduced more than was necessary--and this violates one of the maxims of entrepreneurship: hold on to those equity points!
Typical advice given to entrepreneurs is to do a cash flow projection, or cash budget, and then add 10%, 20% or even 50% to this amount, for "contingencies." These contingencies are all the things that can go wrong in a start-up venture, all the unfavorable events that can negatively affect results.
Contingency planning is a skill that does not come easily to all entrepreneurs--even those with a finance background. How do you get the cockeyed optimist (what you absolutely must be to even conceive of the idea of the starting a company), who expects the best, to plan for the worst?<
To stimulate contingency planning, it helps to look at the reasons why entrepreneurs so consistently run out of money; among these are:
Not realizing how expensive it is to introduce a new product, especially consumer products, on a national basis.
Not realizing how long it takes to introduce a new product, or for the market to truly accept the product.
Delays in regulatory approval, municipal zoning, or patent approval.
Assuming that a small start-up company will get the same forbearance on payments and favorable terms that a large one will.
An entrepreneur with an early stage company must be prepared for one or more of these situations to occur. Contingency planning doesn't mean simply adding a percentage or dollar "cushion' to the amount of capital being sought from investor or lenders. It is a way of thinking--a recognition that the entrepreneurial road is always rocky. Envisioning what might go wrong does not equate to entrepreneurs losing faith in their product or their company; it means they accept these difficulties as steps on the path to prosperity.

Super Easy Steps To Blogging Success!
What is a blogger? A blogger is a cross between an educator, an entertainer and an orator; each blogger 'owns these three hats' and 'wears' each of them while in different moods. One other commonality between bloggers is: each blogger is in search of an audience.
Pack your bags! If you recognize yourself in the preceding paragraph you are ready to begin your journey into the blogosphere. There are only a few things you need to do to make your journey a success:
Find a home for your blog
Find a focus for your posts
Learn "Bletiquette"
Persevere
Find a home for your blog! You need a host for your blog, some are free, some charge a small amount per month for their service, some are simple to use and some require more technical knowledge, some have more features than others; choose carefully, once you've established your blog and have a few regular readers you may not want to change your address (your URL).
Start by surfing the Internet and the blogs to see what bloggers have to say about their hosting programs. Don't get in over your head by picking a blog host that requires a technical expertise that is beyond your current capabilities. There are many free hosts that are more than adequate to start you off and are customizable -- as you gain new technical skills you can edit your blog template to make your blog look like you want it to look and do almost anything you want it to do, all without changing your URL.
If you are using free hosts start blogs at two or three host sites just to see which one you like best and which one gives you the most capabilities right 'out of the box.' When you find one you are happy with, be nice and go back and cancel your other blogs.
Find a focus for your posts! Most every blog has a theme, a theme that sets the tone for most (not necessarily all) of the posts on that blog. Your blog can be a topical blog that focuses on a special interest of yours (politics, religion, health care, science, engineering, cooking etc.); a personal blog that focuses on what you are doing that day, where you have been, where you are going or any aspect of your life's journey; or a showcase blog that displays your writing, art, photography, or etc.. Some posts will not fall into your blogs main theme and that's OK -- your blog is a reflection of you, and we all have different moods . . . we all 'wear different hats;' don't decide not to post just because you feel like writing 'something different.'
"Bletiquette!" The objective of most bloggers is to attract a regular readership; to do that you need to display some basic (really common sense) blog etiquette (bletiquette!):
When commenting on a post, stick to the point, don't get personal or abusive.
Never comment as "Anonymous;" if you are ashamed to use your actual blogger name, don't comment.
Try to respond to all comments on your post, even if it is just to say "thanks for commenting" (but don't expect all bloggers to do this).
Don't get personal by asking personal questions unless you have a long-standing relationship with the other blogger; bloggers enjoy the relative anonymity of a blog and a blogger name.
If you are "flamed" (verbally attacked for something you wrote) don't get into a "flame war;" respond politely or not at all.
Never take a block of text, a unique phrase, a picture, a graphic or anything else from another blog or from any web page and use it in your post as is, without clearly indicating where it came from.
Persevere! Bloggers blog! That's what they do! If you post every day you will improve not only your technique but also your readership; don't give up.
Bloggers are very much like novelists. Novelists write every day and finally reach the end of the novel. Then they submit the novel to publishers, file their rejection notices and resubmit to other publishers. Eventually, every novelist who perseveres gets published . . . eventually every blogger who perseveres gets a loyal readership and his or her own measure of success.

Profitable Type Of Joint Venture
Joint-Venturing doesn't end on asking a Guru to endorse your stuff. But that's what the majority of people in the Internet marketing world focus on.
Here's an unusual & insanely profitable kind of JV:
Co-author with a Guru.
Yes, you better know what your stuff. And no – it's not for you if you aren't damn serious. Because it takes a lot of work & brings in a lot of cash. Not for the easy-goers.
But why would the guru want to do this?
Because it saves them time & gets them easy bucks!
Every guru has at least a dozen product ideas that they doesn't have time for. If you offer
to do all the work & still give them 60% or more - there's no way they're going to miss it!
You can also make a product specifically FOR one guru's audience. But that's another story.
Here's a tip: Ask the guru for an unfinished product.
Many gurus start a product but for some reason it's pushed aside half-way down. They want that product to see the light of the day but they don't have time for it or maybe they've just moved on.
But if you offer to complete that product, they will love you for it!
Take all the work on yourself. From finishing the product to writing the sales copy & auto-responder messages. Save them the headache, their time, energy & money - & they'll be happy to co-author with you.
What's in it for you? (as if you need to ask!)
Because just one product can launch you to stardom. When people see you co-authored an ebook with a successful guru - you get instant credibility. And of course the money comes rolling in faster than you can count - because the guru obviously has a loyal following.
And then people will be contacting YOU for joint-ventures! The credibility, the money, the contacts - it's all worth it.
There are many examples of people who launched their online this way. From Tellman Knudson to Patric Chan & more. Here are 3 case-studies:
- Jim Edwards.
I can't say if he launched his online career this way. But this guy has authored at least half a dozen books with the top guns in this industry.

Book Publishing Success-ebooks
Let's begin with the process that should commence before you write your first word. Begin by reading A LOT. Read both books you passionately love and books you can't seem to make it past page five. Then figure out what the author did in the book you loved, and what was wrong with in the book you couldn't finish. Write down these points so they are crystal clear to you. Read other people's books for inspiration and to
discover what you should avoid as a writer.
The next step is to plan out your book. Narrow down your subject, and then divide it into chapters. Each chapter should address a specific aspect of the problem your book is going to solve. In each chapter, break the specific aspect down into several parts. This will help your readers take in your information a bit at a time instead of overwhelming them with every bit of information clogging up the pages until they feel like they're about to go blind. It's not quite spoon-feeding the information to your readers, but it's close.
The next two steps are obvious. Write your book and then revise it. And then revise it again. And perhaps again. Of course, writing is extremely hard, and writing a book can seem like an impossible task. There are many books out there that give you guidelines to help you become familiar - and even love - the process of writing and revision. Find a number of books about writing. Better yet, find a number of books about writing the specific type of book you aspire to write. These can serve as roadmaps on your writing journey.
Once you've written your book and revised it at least twice, show it to someone else whose opinion you respect. If you're lucky enough to know a good editor, see if you have something to barter for him or her to go through your manuscript. Or join a writing group and let the other members critique your work.
Then take all these ideas from other people, and revise your manuscript one last time. And then stop! Put down that pen! Get your hands off the keyboard!
One of the most important steps to actually producing a book is to know when to stop writing and tinkering with it.
You've finally written your book! Pop open the bubbly! Give yourself a night out on the town!
Okay, now that this necessary celebration is out of your system, what do you do next?
How to turn your book into Profits
Ebooks are a revolutionary way to publish your book without incurring the costs of print production. All you need is a relevant and targeted subject and some inexpensive software, and you can transform your manuscript into a book.
The problem, in terms of actually seeing any profits from your ebook, is that the market is overwhelmed with ebooks, and many of them are not worth the time it takes to download them. Just because the ability exists to easily produce an ebook, doesn't make it good writing.
Make sure your book does not simply rehash old material. You will injure your credibility as an author by claiming to offer valuable new insights and disappointing your audience with material they've read a zillion times before. So spend enough time writing and revising your book to make sure it's of the highest quality and presents the most current information. A good book will eventually sell itself; false claims about your book will make it extremely difficult to sell any future books you may write
Assuming you have determined that you do indeed have a quality product that answers some question or need of your target audience with NEW information, how do you know how much to charge for it? Rule number 1: Set a price for your book equal to its value. An under-priced book will only give the impression that your book isn't worth very much.
To figure out a fair price, estimate how much time you put into creating it and how difficult it was to transform the necessary information into understandable and engaging writing. Figure out how much your time and effort is worth, and then price it accordingly. The goal is for you to be adequately compensated for your talent, your time, and your effort.
Once you've figured out a price that is high enough to convey the value of the book, but not so high as to be out of the reach of your target audience's mean budget, then it's time to offer it for sale on your website. To attract sales, you will need to develop a promotional campaign, particularly if you are an unknown author.
There are multitudes of books about self-promotion that will guide you in your efforts. Choose a plan that is both creative and professional. Learn how to write a catchy yet informative press release, and send copies of your ebook to sites that specialize in ebook reviews.
Learn how to write powerful sales copy, or hire someone to write it for you. This is an essential. You absolutely need excellent sales copy to sell your book. Make sure the copy includes all the reasons your target audience needs your book, and the benefits they will derive from buying it.
Use graphics in your promotional materials. Beautiful graphics have the power to instantly convey the quality and value of your ebook. Graphics can also convey the amount of valuable information the book contains, and your careful attention to detail. Professional graphics sell professional books. They reassure the customer that the product is what it claims to be.
Consider excerpting chapters for articles. You can offer these titbits for free on your website as a sort of demo of your book. Include an order form for your ebook at the end of the excerpted articles.
Finally, when you set-up your download link, make sure to simplify the process. It's a good idea to offer a few bonuses that make your book even more enticing to purchase, but make sure the bonuses are valuable and high quality. Too many bonuses that are basically a load of useless stuff will compromise the impression your audience has of your ebook. The goal is to convey to your audience that they are getting a quality product for a good deal. That means applying restraint, especially when it comes to adding bonus items. Too much free stuff offered diminishes your credibility.
Make sure your book is a quality product. Make sure it is relevant and current. Develop an effective marketing plan that includes excellent sales copy and excerpted articles. Then offer your book for sale, and wait for your audience to discover you!

5 more ways to turbocharge employees
These are five additional ways that you can successfully create an encouraging work environment while increasing employee.
1. Distinguish your employees. It is essential that you empathize with your employees. Know about their family; know about what they do after hours, what interests them. This is not meant to be prying into an employee's personal life, but knowing an employee can help you to resolve what motivates that employee. Different people are motivated by dissimilar things. What does the employee want? What do they want from this job, from their life, and for their future? Reaching goals can be difficult. Helping someone to reach a goal at work is impossible if you do not know what that goal is.
2. Discover more. It is your responsibility to create enthusiasm in the workplace. Therefore it is up to you to continue to study innovative ways to spur employees to action. You might opt to take classes that offered as short courses at HR firms or online universities. This will give you a fabulous opportunity to continue to learn new ways to stimulate your employees
3. Splurge special time with your employees. Take a few minutes out of your day to just talk with your employees. Give them an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns or simply ask how their week went. This will demonstrate how much you care about his or her happiness within the company. You can also schedule performance reviews either once a month, once a year or however often is comfortable for you. This will allow you time to sit down and spend a little more time with the employee and give you a chance to discuss the highs and lows of the period in which the review is accomplished. Positive conversations, even on a casual level are a great way to increase employee motivation. Schedule one-on-ones and leave titles at the door.
4. Understand the employees' feelings about their career. Most employees start out in a job on the bottom with hopes of advancement. One way to increase employee drive is to discuss the likelihood of advancement or lateral movement within the company structure. It might be a different position, or a promotion, in a sister company. Your employees should know that you care about the things that they care about. Let them know that you are there to help them achieve their goals and they will give you 110%
5. Be transparent. You as a manager know what it feels like when a higher up seems to be keeping something from you. Even though there may not be a secret, the big boss still hasn't informed you on what is going on. Your employees may feel this way consistently. It is very important to keep employees informed about issues that arise in the company even if it does not directly affect them. Employees want to know about the company and they want to be involved. It is a good idea to have regular "catch-up" meetings, just to make sure that everyone is on the same page.
